Expositor's Bible: Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther

by Walter F. Adeney

Summary

Expositor’s Bible: Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther is part of the original fifty volumes known as The Expositor’s Bible edited by W. Robertson Nicoll. This commentary on Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther is the work of Walter F. Adeney, a New College professor. In his introduction, Adeney discusses the possibility of Ezra and Nehemiah at one time being one book, not two. The final four chapters of this commentary focus on Esther. The first of the four introduces the book and its setting. The second highlights Ahasuerus and Vashti. Haman is the topic of the third chapter and Adeney ends with a chapter on each of Queen Esther and Mordecai.
