Golden Legend, vol. 7

by Jacobus de Voragine

The GOLDEN LEGEND Volume 7 (aka LIVES of the SAINTS) recounts the faith and suffering of over thirty saints/martyrs. Fascinating accounts of people such as Rigobert, Morant, James the Martyr, and the beheading of Saint Dorothy are found in this book. Each story is inspiring. Stories were first compiled in 1275 and published in 1470. Eventually translated into English by William Caxton and published in 1483. This volume includes the 12 Articles of Faith (Apostles Creed) with commentary. Additionally, there is a glossary of terms such as "drenched" and "whelk."
