Biography

British biographer Andrew Thomson was born in 1814. He is known for chronicling the lives of renowned ministers. Having traveled extensively throughout the Holy Land, he also wrote about the sites and history of Palestine. He was ordained in the Church of Scotland. When the church split, Thomson joined the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland. Thomson authored more than a dozen books. Titles include Life of John Owen, Home Life in Ancient Palestine, Life of Principal Harper, and In the Holy Land: A Journey Through Palestine. On February 9, 1901, Thomson died at home.
