Biography

James Henry Snowden was born in Pennsylvania in 1852. He attended Washington and Jefferson College, Western Theological Seminary, Lafayette College, and Missouri Valley College. He earned several degrees and became an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church. He also edited the Presbyterian magazine. He spent many years as a professor at various colleges and authored several books. He continues to be remembered as a renowned theologian. He and his wife raised three children. Snowden passed away in 1936.
