Expositor's Bible: The Book of Isaiah, Volume I

Expositor’s Bible: The Book of Isaiah, Volume I, is part of the original fifty volumes known as The Expositor’s Bible edited by W. Robertson Nicoll. This commentary on the book of Isaiah is the work of George Adam Smith. This volume is expository on Isaiah 1 through 39. As Smith states in his introduction, his goal was to take each prophecy in this section of Isaiah but take them in chronological order. Smith also used the original Hebrew for the most part and has some criticism of the Revised Version of Isaiah translation. Smith breaks these 39 chapters into five books of “prophecies”. Indexes to the chapters and subjects are included at the end of the work.
