Book of Needs The Holy Orthodox Church contains prayers and liturgies for several life events. There are prayers for betrothals, burials, baptisms, second marriages, moving to a new home, and many other occasions. There are also literacies or worship orders that can be used within the context of church worship. The book includes a glossary of ecclesiastical terms to help the layperson understand the content of the "orders" more thoroughly. G.V. Shann also includes a detailed description of a "Laying on of Hands" service.
