Biography

William Shakespeare is well-known worldwide. Born in England, he was baptized on April 26, 1564. He authored more than thirty plays and 150 sonnets, not to mention numerous poems. His vast vocabulary was more than double that of the average person. While the Bible is the most quoted, Shakespeare's works are the second most quoted. Prior to his death, Shakespeare purchased the right to be buried inside Holy Trinity Church, the very church where he had been baptized. In April of 1616, at the age of 52, Shakespeare died and, in deed, was buried in Stratford's Holy Trinity Church.
