Plato
Biography
How does one limit an introduction of Plato to a single paragraph? Does one focus on those who shaped Plato's thinking by mentioning such influences as Pythagoras and Socrates? Or does one share Plato's early life as the child of wealthy parents and, therefore, excellent educational opportunities? Of should the focus be on Plato's philosophy and his"Theory of Forms" or his doctrines on such things as the soul's immortality? Perhaps the best way to describe Plato would be through his dialogues and other writings or maybe the School of Philosophy that he founded. Plato's influence on religions such as Christianity and Islam could be a focal point. Well, hopefully, your interest is piqued, and you have some sense of this Greek philosopher who lived from 428 to 348 B.C.Wailand Groenendyk
