Comfortable Words For Christ's Lovers

Comfortable Words for Christ’s Lovers (1827) is a collection of writings by Lady Julian of Norwich, England, written around 1373. By some Catholics and Anglicans, Julian is considered a Saint. Living in seclusion (as an anchoress), Julian’s writings show her to be a mystic and theologian. Julian reflects on various topics such as Brotherly Love, Weal and Woe, Sickness, and Last Rites, and Choosing Only Jesus. This work is 25 chapters long and includes a glossary for words such as “Buxom”.
