Biography

Charles Michael (C. M.) Jacobs was born in 1875 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Leipzig University, and Muhlenberg College. He was ordained in the Lutheran Church. He served as a pastor and a professor. For more than a decade, Jacobs was the president of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Jacobs died in 1938.
