Biography

Born in London, England, Robert Forman Horton attended New College, Oxford. Even though he was a nonconformist, he was given a teaching job on the all-Anglican staff at Oxford University. He became a respected lecturer and took various leadership roles in church polity. His works covered a wide range of topics. He wrote, The Early Church, Women of the Old Testament, and The Courage of Conviction, to name just a few. Horton lived from 1855 to 1934.
