The Truth of the Christian Religion in Six Books begins with a reflection on God's sovereignty, power, and actions. From there, Hugo Grotius goes into an explanation of the Christian Religion, which leads into book three regarding the writings of Scripture. The last three books deal with paganism, the Jewish perspective of the New Testament, and guidance for choosing a religion to practice. Part of Grotius's apologetics is a defense against Mahometanism, along with Le Clerc's additional "books" included in this volume.
