John Monro Gibson
Biography
John Monro Gibson's talents were shared on two continents. Born in Scotland on April 24, 1838, Gibson's father was a minister in the United Presbyterian church. Gibson would also become an ordained minister. Montreal Theological College was where Gibson lectured in Hebrew and Greek Exegesis for several terms. He was the minister at the Second Presbyterian Church in Chicago for six years before returning to England to become the moderator for the Presbyterian Church of England. Gibson wrote many books, including From Facts to Faith, The Mosaic Era, Game Day Glory, Life-Changing Principles for Sport, and Christianity According to Christ. Gibson's commentary on the Gospel of Matthew is included in the Expositor's Bible. Gibson died in 1921.Wailand Groenendyk
