Baxter’s Second Innings

Baxter's Second Innings is one way to expand one's knowledge of other cultures through literature. Henry Drummond has taken the sport of cricket as played by school children filled with attitudes and antics. Not only will the reader be introduced to the vocabulary and strategy of playing cricket but some spiritual lessons will be taught along the way. Set in beautiful Scotland in the 1800's, Drummond develops a number of colorful characters who not only entertain the reader with a fast paced storyline but also bring about a smile or two.
