Abstract of Systematic Theology

James P. Boyce, the first president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, described his Abstract of Systematic Theology as follows: “This volume is published rather as a practical text book, for the study of the system of doctrine taught in the Word of God, than as a contribution to theological science.” Since its publication, Boyce’s Abstract has indeed served as a tool for education.
