Expositor's Bible: The Second Book of Samuel

Expositor's Bible: II Samuel (1898) is part of the original fifty volumes known as The Expositor's Bible, edited by W. Robertson Nicoll. This commentary on the book of II Samuel is the work of William Garden Blaikie, a professor at New College, Edinburgh. The 24 chapters of II Samuel are divided into thirty-two chapters in this particular work. For example, Chapter 5, "Assassination of Abner and Ishbosheth," expounds upon II Samuel 3 and 4. Blaikie concludes this volume with a chapter reflecting on how I and II Samuel complement and complete each other. He also provides additional context and significance of these two books of Samuel.
