Notes on the Old Testament: Psalms Volume II (1950) by Albert Barnes is a thorough commentary on Psalm 42 through Psalm 89. Generally, each page of the book has two or three verses at the top, with the remainder of the page being dedicated to the background, explanation, and application of the cited verses. The book also has many engravings of various animals and other things mentioned in these Psalms.
