Inner Life of Dame Gertrude More is a biography written by Augustine Baker. The book starts with Gertrude's"early life" and ends with a description of her last illness and ultimate death. In between, the sufferings, contemplations, prayers, writings, and other pious activities meant to deepen her faith and her resolve to honor and please God. More was a nun in an English convent, an author, and a poet. She only lived 27 years as she fell victim to smallpox in 1633.
