Summary

Here are the 86 articles of the Netherlands Reformed Church Order, which was drafted during the National Synod of Reformed Churches in the Netherlands. The synod was held in 1618 and 1619. The first of four sections deals with the offices of the church."Second Head," beginning with Article 29, gives the acceptable parameters for church assemblies. The third section, starting with Article 53, lays out the celebration of the sacraments, guidelines for other ceremonies within the church, and the doctrines held by the church—the final segment deals with church discipline, including censure and admonition. Following the articles is the form of subscription to be adhered to by all office holders.
