Expositor's Bible: The Epistles of St. John

Expositor's Bible: The Epistles of St. John (1896) is part of the original fifty volumes known as The Expositor's Bible edited by W. Robertson Nicoll. This commentary on John's Epistles is the work of William Alexander. Four discourses make up the first section of this work. The first discourse gives the context of the epistles. The second discourse is a comparative study of John's epistles and John's Gospel. Alexander's third discourse is focus on the content of the epistles. The final discourse examines John as the vessel used to author these portions of scripture. The second part of the work has ten sections of discourses on John's first epistle.
