- The father (mother ?) of Jehozabad who slew King Joash. (2 Kings 12:21) In the parallel passage in (2 Chronicles 24:26) the name is converted into the feminine form Shimrith, who is further described as a Moabitess. [Shimrith] (B.C. 839.)
