PSALM 112
Hallelujah
א Blessed is the man who feareth Jehovah; ב In his commandments he will delight greatly.
ג Mighty on the earth shall be his seed: ד The generation of the upright ones shall be blessed.
ה Wealth and riches shall be in his house; ו And his righteousness endureth for ever.
ז There ariseth in darkness light to the upright ones: ח He is merciful and compassionate and righteous.
ט A good man showeth pity and lendeth; י He manageth his affairs 381381 In the Latin version it is “verba,” “words,” but Calvin rejects this translation in the commentary. In the French version it is “affairs.” in uprightness.
כ Truly he shall not for ever be moved; ל In everlasting remembrance shall be the righteous one.
מ Of evil tidings he shall not be afraid; נ Established is his heart, because he trusteth in Jehovah.
ס Sustained is his heart, he shall not be afraid, ע Until he see his desire upon his adversaries.
פ He hath dispersed; he hath given to the poor ones; ץ His righteousness continueth for ever; ק His horn shall be exalted with glory.
ר The ungodly one shall see it, and be incensed; ש With his teeth he shall gnash and waste away: ת The desire of the ungodly ones shall perish.
