Question 106
But this commandment seems only to speak of murder?
In forbidding murder, God teaches us, that he abhors the causes thereof, such as envy,305305 Prov. 14:30; Rom. 1:29. hatred,306306 1 John 2:9, 11. anger,307307 James 1:20; Gal. 5:19, 21. and desire of revenge; and that he accounts all these as murder.308308 1 John 3:15.
