Footnote on crosses [All are links.]: Wednesday and Friday, the ember days, are marked with simple Greek crosses. Tuesday and Saturday have two versions of the crosslet cross, a cross made up of smaller crosses. [The one on Tuesday resembles the budded cross, but the ends are squared off rather than rounded.] Monday has a "crosslet cross crossed." And Thursday has a "crosslet cross double-crossed." [Make what symbolism you want. The crosslet may imply the 4 gospels. The double-crossed may remember the 12 apostles, with Christ at the center. Or they may just be designs.] These last 4 are Medieval designs sometimes used in heraldry.
Link to find Easter for any year.
