A Dictionary of Hymnology (1957) was edited by John Julian. This is Volume II which covers hymns and related items that begin with the letters P through Z. As the subtitle explains, the goal of this work is to share information regarding the “who,” “when,” and “where” of Christian Hymns. This edition is a reprint of the second edition printed in 1907. Several indexes are included at the end of this volume.
