The Old Testament in Greek, According to the Septuagint by Henry Barclay (H.B.) Swete was published in 1900. The three volumes of this work have gone through several revisions. Swete notes in his introduction that this is his attempt to give students a clear and relatively complete commentary on the history and contents of the Greek Septuagint. Swete goes beyond just writing an expository. He reviews the versions of the Septuagint and how they have impacted Christian thought and literature throughout the years.
